Big appartment in central Copenhagen - summer 2018 (July)

We live in a 4-room flat with our 2 daughters aged 18 and 14. We have a third daughter, aged 24, who lives nearby. We have three bedrooms, 1 living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Our flat is on the 2nd floor and overlooks a newly renovated square that becomes very alive in the summer with three cosy cafes on a row where lots of people stop by to enjoy a small meal or a drink.
During the past 10 years all buildings, squares and streets in our neighbourhood (Vesterbro) have been thoroughly renovated so that it has now become one of the most attractive places to live in Copenhagen. It is often referred to as the Danish version of Soho with lots of little shops and different kinds of people making a colourful, vivid and exciting area. We also have access to a great and green garden/playground that is closed to the street and can only be used by the inhabitants of the buildings surrounding the garden. Here you can barbecue, enjoy the sun and let your children play.
We really enjoy living in the city with our children. Copenhagen has a lot of things and activities to offer to young families. We can mention Tivoli and the nearby beach, but there are also lots of parks, playgrounds, libraries, open or closed swimming pools, little theatres and museums that are really fun for children to visit.
We live in the very centre of Copenhagen, only five minutes walk from the Central Station and seven minutes walk from Tivoli. Tivoli is an old, fairytale-like amusement park where you will absolutely love to spend a whole day with your children.
From the Central Station you can go anywhere you wish in Copenhagen and cities nearby. We also use our bikes a lot – you are very welcome to borrow them. We have 3 big bikes.
If you take the train to Klampenborg, you’ll find a lovely beach (Bellevue) only two minutes walk from the train station. The train ride takes 25 minutes. On the other side of the station you’ll find a great forrest (Dyrehaven) where you can have a meal in a lovely restaurant (Peder Lieps Hus) or even visit yet another amusement park (Bakken).
If you wish to visit our neighbouring country Sweden, it will take you only 30 minutes by train to get to the cosy city of Malmö. This will also give you a chance of viewing the spectacular bridge that was built between Denmark and Sweden 18 years ago.
We live only 5-7 minutes walk from the great pedestrian area in the inner city (Strøget). Here you’ll find the Town Hall, the busy Town Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen), the Parliament (Christiansborg), and of course a lot of shops.
