Large house by the sea in beautiful Karlskrona, south of Sweden

We live in Hästö in a large house just by the sea. It is situated 4 km from the centre of Karlskrona, an old naval town where water is present everywhere. There are beds for at least 7 persons and it contains all you really need. Its perfect for a family with children, the surroundings with the playground and the football field across the street is well used by our kids. The local childfriendly beach is about 200 m from the house. There is a small grovery store 200 meters away.

Karlskrona is an old naval city which is on the World Heritage List.

It is one of the sunniest places in Sweden. The archipelago is really nice and you can use our motor boat (if you know how to handle it).

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Kastrup Copenhagen -

Karlskrona is a small city in the south of Sweden with approximately 35000 inhabitants. It was founded in 1680 with the intention to have an ice-free harbour in the winter. Since then the naval and military presence has been obvious here. Karlskrona is on the UNESCO World Heritage list as a good example of a 1700 century naval town. It is one of the 2 swedish major naval bases operating presently. The archipelago is very nice, not as busy as you might expect. We have a boat with a 30 horsepower motor that you can use if you know how to use it. For a nice view of the place do a YouTube search for "Visit Karlskrona" where you find a birds view of all the water surrounding the city centre. This is also a quite sunny place that was top three in Swedens "sun league" 2011. News just came in that Karlskrona had most sun hours in Sweden 2012.
The house is situated 5 km from the city centre. It's a quiet place. There is a playground just across the quiet street and a beach suitable for children just 200 meters down the street. It's an easy bicycle ride to the city centre. The boat is by the water 100 m from the house.
The easiest way to get here is to catch a direct train to Karlskrona from Kastrup, Copenhagen which takes about 3 hours. Then its another 15 minute busride to Hästö were we live.
