Ich bin an einem Austausch interessiert
a beautyfull house with garden in Brussels under the Atomium.
The house is a typical Brussels 'house de maître', built in 1922 in an architectural style typical of Brussels from the '20.
On the ground floor there is an office space which is connected to the garden of more or less 100m2.
The living room and kitchen are located on the first floor.
On the second floor an extra common space (2nd living room with a sofa bed that can also be used as an extra room to host two people), and a second sleeping room and the bathroom are located. On the third floor you find the master bedroom, a guest room, an office and a toilet.
We have a very sweet cat, which we adopted in april 2020, called Vlekkie (which means 'dots' when ruffly translated into English).
We also have a very sweet dog called Cosmo. She is a small middle sized dog (she only weights 11kg). In case of a house exchange she can travel with us, or in case pets are not allowed, she stays at a friend's place in Brussels.

Über die Umgebung
We live in a quite area of Brussels called Laeken. The house is very well located, close to supermarkets and (bio) grocery shops. Also regarding public transport, the rest of the city is very well reachable.
The house is located within a 2min walk from Parc Ossegem and the Atomoium, which is probably the most renowned landmarks of Belgium.
By metro the city center can be reached within 20 min.
The house offers the perfect base to explore our beautiful city of Brussels, as well as the rest of Belgium such as cities like Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges in the North and Liege and Namur in the South of Belgium. Belgium is a very small country, which makes it possible to be in the nature (forest in the South), and the beach in the north both within the hour.
As the capital of Belgium, Brussels has a lot to offer. Besides its historical highlights (la grand place, le sablon etc), beautiful parcs, a vibrant art scene, it is composed out of more than 180 nationalities and hence forms a true window to the world, and this summer for the first time a public swimming lake will be inaugurated :)!
Since Brussels is located at the center of Europe, other destinations such as Amsterdam, Paris and London can be reached whithin 1,5 hours (highspeed train).

Amplia vivienda, muy bien comunicada y cómoda
Wir haben schöne Tage in Brüssel verbracht. Die Wohnung liegt perfekt, sehr ruhig und trotzdem gut an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr angebunden. Die Kommunikation mit Paula und Wouter lief perfekt, wir konnten uns absolut auf sie verlassen. Außerdem haben wir viel Spaß mit unserer „Pflegekatze“ Vleckie gehabt.
Our exchange partners are a very amicable couple. The house in the North of Brussels is fine place to stay. Everything we found there was as descripted in the Intervac offer. We enjoyed the stay there very much and could take advantage from the short distance to the Atomium, the Park van Laken and the various nearby cultural sights.

We are Wouter, Paula and Antoin (Wouter's son)
Wouter is 40 years old, he's Belgian and he's an artist working around spatial practice (at the crossroad of urbanism and art). Paula is 37 years old, she's Argentinian and she's a dancer and choreographer. Antoin is 11 and he's a very sweet kid, loving sports and being in nature. The three of us enjoy a lot being outside the city, in a calmer and rural context. Antoin lives with us one week out of two.
We like a lot the calmness, we practice yoga daily and we like to spend a lot of time in the garden reading. We enjoy working in Brussels so when we go for holidays we like to have a lot of peace and be disconnected from the work.
Wouter went for home exchange holidays during all his childhood with his family and loved it very much. Together Paula and Wouter also went last year to pet-sit two cats in the countryside in France. It was a great experience!
We are very respectful with the home of someone else, and we enjoy very much knowing that someone else can enjoy our home.
