Our home is located on St. Larsgatan, right in the heart of central Linköping, one of the city’s most charming and historic streets. The area combines a lively city atmosphere with a relaxed, walkable pace, making it ideal for a holiday stay.
Within just a few minutes on foot, you’ll find Linköping Cathedral, picturesque squares, independent boutiques, shopping streets, cafés, bakeries, and a wide range of restaurants. This is one of the most vibrant parts of the city, yet it retains a calm and pleasant feel, especially in the evenings.
Just moments away is Stångån, the river that runs through Linköping. Along the river are scenic walking and cycling paths, green spaces, and places where you can rent kayaks and paddle through the city’s waterways and connected canals. It’s a unique way to experience the city from the water, surrounded by greenery despite being so central.
The area is also close to parks, cultural venues, museums, and historic neighborhoods such as Gamla Linköping. The flat was really beautiful, comfortable and unusual with interesting spaces. We live in a modern flat so to be in such a historic and spacious apartment was such a treat. We loved the double heuight spaces and the natural wood. The views from the fllat were great and the roof terrace nestled in the roof top was the best place to relax especially for coffee in the morning. The description was very accurate and the bathrooms and kitchen were all well equipped and everything was easy to understand and use. We were gratful to be able to borrow the bikes and explore the wonderful canal and nature the area had on offer. The location was great too and close to everythig we needed. We loved trying some of the hosts recomendations

Curious Travellers Who Love Both City and Nature
Nowadays, it is just the two of us—Robert and Linda—living in our home. With our children grown up, we have entered a new phase of life where we can follow our curiosity and our shared love for travel. We are drawn to both vibrant city life and peaceful natural surroundings, and we truly enjoy discovering the everyday rhythm of new places.
For us, travelling is not just about seeing new sights, but about experiencing how people live—the atmosphere, the neighbourhoods, and the small details that make each place unique. That is why home exchange appeals so much to us.
Linda (47) works as a senior manager in the Municipality of Norrköping, with responsibility for labour market issues and financial assistance. Robert (49) is a military officer. We are both responsible, considerate, and take great pride in caring for our home—and we treat others’ homes with the same respect.
We also share our home with Morris, our very friendly and much-loved cat. He is an easy-going companion who enjoys company and a little extra attention while we are away. Ideally, he would stay at home with you, but if you are planning shorter trips during your stay, we have kind neighbours who can help out. Of course, we can also arrange alternative care if that suits you better.
From time to time, our travels include our two adult children and our young grandchild, or occasionally close friends. If that would be the case, we always make sure to discuss and agree on it with you in advance.
We are open-minded, curious, and genuinely appreciative of the opportunity to explore new places while sharing our own home and surroundings in return.
