Hello everybody,

I’m glad to present you our lovely home in Assebroek. Assebroek is a small town and part of Bruges. So Assebroek is the ideal place to visit Bruges from.Our home is very close to the city center, approximately one kilometer.

We live in a quiet neighbourhood. Our house is a spacious house with a garden. We have 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one bathroom has a shower and the other one has a bath.
Our kitchen is a normal sized kitchen with all the essential facilities. There is a large living room.
Our garden is small but nice and in the summer perfectly orientated to the sun. Ideal for a summer barbecue.

Bruges is internationally known and loved. This Flemish art city is among the top of heritage cities in Europe and the world. In 2000, Unesco declared even the entire historic inner city a world heritage site. Unique for Belgium and a rarity in Europe. Bruges has a wealth of valuable heritage: historic buildings, collections, museums, protected cityscapes, ... And all that on a small surface, which easily crossed on foot or by bike.

Romance reigns supreme in Bruges. Swans on the picturesque canals of Bruges, medieval winding streets and cobbled squares give the city a charming cachet.

But our home is more than only Bruges. We have a lot more to offer. Assebroek is not far (18km) from the Belgian coast. We have lovely sandy beaches, ideal for playing and swimming. Nearby we also have some nice forests (Tillegem bos, Ryckevelde bos, Bulskampveld), the perfect places for long walks and a nice picnic.

Apart from Bruges you have other cities that are worth a visit. You can go to Gent, Antwerpen, Brussels, … and many more other cities. You can visit these cities easily by train (max 1 hour on the train).

I do not need to tell you that Belgium is the center of Europe. So if you want to visit other great cities in Europe Bruges is the ideal base to plan your visits, cities like Berlin, Paris, London, Amsterdam.
