Forest house in Cantley, Quebec, 20 minutes from Ottawa, Canada’s capital
Our bright, comfortable home is set on just under two acres of forest in Cantley, Quebec, 20 minutes outside of Ottawa - and a 2 hour drive from Montréal/4 hour drive or 1 hour flight from Toronto. The ground floor is open with a large living room, kitchen-dining room, and a powder room just off the front hall. The first floor has two bedrooms with queen size beds, a large family bathroom with a walk-in shower and soaker tub, and an office. The basement has an additional tv den and play area, a guest room with a queen size bed, bathroom with a shower, and laundry. All the rooms have large windows with wonderful views of the trees. From the big sliding doors in the kitchen there is a deck with a bbq, outdoor dining area, lawn for games, cedar sauna and hot tub/spa, and a fire pit.

About the neighborhood
Cantley is a beautiful area of forests, hills, lakes and rivers north of downtown Ottawa, Canada’s capital. Our home is ideally located to enjoy all that the country and outdoors have to offer - hiking, swimming and cycling in the summer; skiing, snowshoeing and skating in the winter; and two Nordic spas open year round. For excellent restaurants, museums, galleries and festivals, Ottawa is a quick 15-20 minutes drive away and Montreal is two hours. Old Chelsea and the entrance to Gatineau Park are also 15-20 minutes away, and the charming village of Wakefield to the north is a 30 minute drive. Our neighbourhood is set in a forest with a playground and basketball court a 15 minute walk away. Grocery stores, pharmacies and all other amenities are nearby as well. Essentially everything is within 20 minutes. The people in Gatineau and Ottawa are warm and friendly, and it’s a wonderful place to live and visit.
