We live 3 km from Pälkäne center. The neighbourhood is peaceful and safe and there is a children's play ground just behind our house. The local beach is around 2 km away and it's shallow and very suitable for the whole family. You can find a couple of grocery stores, pharmacy, gym, library, cafe and a pizza/kebab restaurant in the center.

Vorstellungstext über sich bzw. Ihre Familie
Dad, Pekka 60, is an engineer and mom, Riitta 53, a midwife, both working in Tampere. Our youngest son Toivo is 10 and Erkki is 20. Toivo plays basket ball, soccer and floorball and loves X-Box-games. Erkki plays basketball and is a trained physical educator living with us at the moment.
The other children, Anna 33, Outi 31 and Teemu 31, Ville 27 and Iina 23 live more or less on their own but nearby.
We have three cats, (two Maine Coons ( Putte and Kaapo) and one British shorthairgirl, Josephine).
Our hobbie includes our big family:) There is always something to do in the house. On holidays we always travel awayand have done three home exchanges so far. We´ve been around a lot! Spring 2009 we made an around the world tour with Toivo from London to Hong Kong, New Zealand, Los Angeles and back home. So far Toivo has visited over twenty different countries!
We really love to experience the world and have had also exchange students from N-Z, Germany, Ecuador, Lithuania, Japan, South-Korea, Hungary, Romania and Italy. Life just seems to be too short for having it all...
Ps. We´ve got a summer cottage by a lake nearby and an RV in your use if you are interested...Last summer we even bought a boat:D
For the year 2019 we have already an exchange in August for two weeks in Germany.
Our family really loves to travel! We try to find the real local people and their way of living, something autentic in every country. We are not so keen in lying the whole day on a beach and shopping T-shirts. Our kids are used to be ragged out to the museums and historical monuments since they were small. We also hav a modest summer cottage nearby, which we use unfortunately far too little. Pekka's dream has been for a long time to have a boat in the local lake and the dream came true last summer. It's possible to stay over night in it and there's also a fridge and a cooker.
At home we love to cook and try recipes from all over the world. We parents made a food and wine round trip to northern Italy last year and it was amazing:D A big part of our family life we spend taking our son Toivo to his tournaments around the southern Finland.
