flat in Huy
Our flat is situated in a former school turned into a comfortable flat. It is located in the centre of Huy, a pleasant old little town along the river Meuse, between Namur and Liège. We enjoy the sun on our terrace with a view on the fort which overlooks the city.
Huy is a good base to explore the east of Belgium. It is surrounded by castles (Jehay, Modave,...). There are pleasant cycling paths along the Meuse and across the countryside (Hesbaye, Condroz). Huy is only 30 km. from the old city of Liège where the writer Georges Simenon was born.
If you are fond of nature, you can walk in the hilly Ardennes forests or in the Hautes Fagnes moors.
Since Belgium is a small country, you can even go for a one-day trip to Brussels or the Flemish cities (Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp,...).
We are experienced INTERVAC members, as we've been exchanging homes every year since ... 1988 !

Notre échange avec Anne et Renaud a été très facile et s'est très bien passé. Leur maison est très agréable et Huy est une très jolie ville . Nous avons découvert la vallée de la Meuse avec beaucoup de plaisir. Leur annonce est conforme à la réalité.

My wife and I are both retired teachers and have been exchanging homes for over 30 years. Our daughters Isabelle and Evelyne are both married. We have two cute cats called Minouchette and Aramis.
We may be travelling with our grandchildren.
