Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Berlin Brandenburg BER - 29 km

Having survived the war relatively unscathed, Prenzlauer Berg combines a stunning mix of old pre-war architecture and luscious, green parks and has developed into a thriving district, popular for its abundance of some of the cities most highly praised cafes and restaurants. Here too, are a number of Berlins most popular street markets and boutique stores. Also not to be ignored are the historical landmarks of this neighborhood, including but not limited to, a selection of old breweries and beer gardens and a slice of still-standing Berlin wall.
See & Do

One of the best-known attractions in Prenzlauer Berg is the Mauer Park Flea Market open every Sunday. Located in the tranquil and historic Mauer Park (Wall Park) this treasure trove of new and pre-loved goods lies parallel to a strip of still-standing Berlin wall. Every Sunday locals and tourists alike come flocking to the site for bargain items and delicious food of various persuasions.

Aside from the food and shopping, you're likely to find huge crowds surrounding assorted types of performers in the amphitheatre on any given Sunday, and venturing further into the park, picnickers practicing their acrobatic skills between trees.

Boasting an unparalleled array of ethnic cuisine influences and a number of the cities most highly praised cafes and restaurants, Prenzlauer Berg is a must-visit for foodies. No matter what flavours you're in the mood for, you're sure to find a surplus of places of varying price-range and unwavering quality.

Cafe culture is also strong in this neighbourhood, with some of Berlin's best coffee shops, homemade cake stores and ice-creameries. Take a walk down the beautiful, tree-lined Oderbergerstrasse and take your pick- this is where many of the best are located.

It is also worth noting that on a Sunday, Prenzlauer Berg is a hot spot for breakfast and brunch goers, worthy of a visit is Anna Blume Cafe.

Prenzlauer Berg is renowned for its shopping, more specifically boutique stores and markets. Whether you're after fresh foods, vintage or designer clothing, pre-loved goodies or one-of-a-kind trinkets, this is the place to come!

A stroll along Sredzkistrasse, Oderbergerstrasse and surrounding streets will take you to some fabulous boutique clothing and home-wares stores packed with items you're not likely to find elsewhere.

Kollowitzplatz hosts a delicious food market each Saturday selling unbeatably fresh produce and prepared foods and is one of the most popular markets in Berlin.
