Barcelona - Spain- Modern, central flat.
The apartment has two double beds, two built in single beds and a double sofa bed in the living room. There are two bathrooms with showers, only one of them has a toilet. The kitchen is open plan and modern. We have gas central heating, and electric air conditioning. Our exchanges have been in Languedoc Rossillon, Paris -in the city and in Auvers Sur Oise and Mennecy, Lorient and Morlaix in Brittany, Ostend and Brugge - Belgium, Malmö - Sweden, Nantes - Pays de Loire, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Leipzig, Prague, Oakland - California, Stockholm, Hämeenlinna - Finland, Haarlem in the Netherlands, Krakow - Poland, Caledonia - Ontario and Dublin.
From our apartment all the major sightseeing spots are within walking distance, as are the city beaches. We are well served by all forms of public transport. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby with a midnight closing policy in the street itself, so it's quiet for a city, and transit is light at all times. YOU MUST LIKE CATS TO ENJOY AN EXCHANGE IN OUR APARTMENT. There are three of them and, as the 100m2 of our home is their entire world, they go everywhere freely and will try to sleep with you. The dog will not be there, so animal care is very easy.

Lovely large appartment in a very nice neighbourhood in Barcelona with excellent public transport options. Karen was very responsive and easy to communicate with and gave plenty of tips on things to do etc. The cats were absolutly no trouble at all. Would highly recommend.
Fabian has a lovely home in a great neighbourhood with plenty of public transport, and within walking distance of many of the sights of Dublin. He took good care of our cats and our apartment. Communication was excellent. Highly recommended.
This is a lovely condo and our host left everything well prepared for us. Communication was excellent, and she couldn't have been more generous when our return flights were cancelled due to a strike. The location is quiet and within a few minutes walk of a good supermarket, pharmacy and other conveniences. There are many beautiful places to visit within driving distance, and you can find reasonably priced parking in Toronto when you want to see the city. We highly recommend exchanging with Janice, and hope she continues to enjoy this way of travelling in the future.
This was a wonderful experience! The flat was clean, accommodating, and situated centrally in Barcelona. Very comfortable and walking distance to many shops, bars, restaurants, and bus/rail stations. Just a couple blocks to the Arc de Triomf, parks, and a zoo. Has a wonderful and private balcony, above the shady and busy street where we enjoyed morning coffee and evening meals and drinks. The host, Nik, is a very experienced home-exchanger, and gave us many helpful tips and advice, which made my trip so smooth. Nik and her family left my condo in Canada in an immaculate condition. I highly recommend Nik and her lovely home!

By profession I am an English teacher and my husband is a gas inspector. Our children are adults and may not be travelling with us. We have made many great exchanges and never had any problems. The only essential thing to know is that our friendly cats, Frida, Bob and Mitzy, would be staying with you. Our dog would travel with us, if possible, or stay in kennels.
