Visit region Wielkopolska, where the Poland begun. Poznan is capital city of the Wielkopolska. Our house is located in quiet district near to the city centre. There are shopping centers, restaurants and parks with lakes nearby. Poznan is easy accessible from abroad, only 1,5 hours by car from German border by highway. There are also international airport and good railways connections to other places in Poland and abroad.
Poznan is one of oldest cities of Poland, where you can visit many monuments like Old Market Square, Cathedral and also many museums. There are many shopping centers. After spending time in the city you can rest in many parks, forests and playing grounds with lakes near from the city.

Communication with Ewa and Jacek was easy. Our emails prior to our exchange were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay in Poznan. They had given us such clear directions on how to get there from the airport. We didn't have a car but the public transport system in the city was straightforward and easy to use. Their house was extremely comfortable and we felt very much at home there. They have a beautiful garden too. It was an extremely positive exchange. Thanks Ewa and Jacek!
Welcoming hosts who kindly collected us from the airport & dropped us back on departure. Comfortable, spotlessly clean home in a great location close to shops & public transport. Poznan is a great city to visit & we really enjoyed our holiday there.

Our family: My name is Jacek, age 63. I am Ph.D in electricity engeneering. I am retired teacher since 2020. My wife Ewa is 55. She is retired teacher-tutor for handicapped children. Our son Piotr is 28. He is computer programmer and he DOES NOT live and travel with us. Our daughter Agata is 26. She is veterinary doctor. She also DOES NOT live and travel with us. We all like traveling, kayaking and biking.
