Charming house 20 minutes from the heart of Lyon
Perched on a quiet hillside just outside Lyon, our house looks out over the countryside and, on clear days, all the way to Lyon itself. It's a peaceful, green spot — the kind of place where you have your morning coffee on the terrace watching the sunrise. The garden is spacious and well maintained, perfect for relaxing or for kids to run around, and the terrace with BBQ is where we spend most summer evenings. The house is fully equipped and comfortable, and Chaponnay itself is a lovely, lively little town with excellent food shops just a short walk away.
Lyon, renowned for its rich history and gastronomy, is only a 20-minute drive from our home. More information about the city can be found here: https://en.lyon-france.com/

Über die Umgebung
Chaponnay is a lovely town, highly sought after by people from around Lyon.
It’s charming, with many shops, including an excellent bakery that participated in the TV show "Le Meilleur Boulanger de France." You’ll be able to enjoy delicious French breads and pastries.
There’s also a great butcher, a florist, a pharmacy, a convenience store, a hairdresser, and a beautiful park.
At the top of our hill, you’ll love walking in nature and the peaceful countryside.
Just 10 minutes by car, you’ll find a large supermarket (Leclerc), a store offering fresh fruits and vegetables, and another bakery.
The center of Lyon is only 20 minutes away, and you’ll also have easy access to the Alps, Burgundy, the French Riviera, and more!

Referenzen
The house was as described. It is very large, well-equipped, and located in a quiet residential area. We especially appreciated the air conditioning. Lyon city center is only 20 minutes away.
The Lambert family have been very communicative at all times, facilitating any possible difficulties. They have a very well equipped and spacious house. The town where it is located is well connected if you want to visit Lyon, also with access to get to know the surrounding area well which is very interesting.
This home is located in the countryside outside Lyon. It was a family home with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It took about 1hr 15 mins to get into Lyon, by driving and then Metro transportation. You must have a car with this exchange otherwise it is impossible to get around.
We had a good exchange with Alexis and Leticia and family. Their house, which is situated uphill from the village, is in a very quiet location and there are lovely views over the surrounding countryside with beautiful sunsets. The house was comfortable, clean, well equipped and has an attractive garden. Overall a very enjoyable and successful exchange.

Welcoming, Respectful and Curious About the World
We are a family of four:
Leticia, originally from Mexico, works as an application scientist.
Alexis, same age, is French and works as a mechanical engineer.
We have two wonderful daughters: Victoria and Elena.
We are passionate about traveling and have had the opportunity to live in Canada for five years (in Calgary and Montreal). Leticia also spent six months in the USA. Alexis has a long history of home exchanges with his parents, having completed 17 exchanges around the world, so he is very experienced in organizing home swaps.
We would be delighted to welcome you into our home, which has many great features! We are sure you'll love it.
As a family, we are responsible, considerate, and organized. We will treat your home with the utmost care, just as we do with our own house.
