3 bedroom house on the edge of the Lake District, close to town

My house is Victorian with a little garden within a very short walk to Kendal with its restaurants, cafes, museums and very active music scene. Only 15 minutes from Windermere and onward to the wonderful lake district. By train we are 2.5 hours from London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and 90 minutes direct from Manchester Airport. We are 15 minutes drive from the M6 motorway

The river Kent is two minutes walk with many walks possible from the front door to the countryside above Kendal and its lovely views of the Lake District mountains ("fells"). My gym (riverside hotel) is ten minutes walk with a swimming pool. Guest passes are available at reasonable prices

Lifestyle

We can walk out of the front do onto hills that have magnificent views of the mountains in the Lake District and the Dales National Park. And it is a short car or bus journey to the heart of the Lakes and Mountains. Kendal has a fantastic music scene with concerts at the Brewery Arts Centre by artistes such as Badly Drawn Boy, Buzzcocks, Wishbone Ash. There is a large group of local musicians who play, with me, in the local pubs and singarounds.
