Lovely Flat in Country House in Spilia

The house that we give is the first floor of a double floor house and is located in a beautiful village called Spilia. Spilia is in Messinia a place with lots of tourist destinations (Ancient Olympia, Voidokoilia, Nestor's palace, Methoni castle, Koroni Castle).

Spilia, is a beautiful small village surrounded by olive trees. It has a lovely natural scenery that combines both the beauty of the mountain and also is located 2 km from the closest beach. The nearest town Kyparissia is 4km away and the capital of our area Kalamata is 60km away.

The last 3 years we have opened a slam restaurant in a nearby village we are unable to do parallel exchange during June, July and August. Those months we can host only because the house is empty. We do live in the bottom floor.

Our preferred date of parallel exchange is between February until May with exception of Orthodox Easter days and September until December after communication and agreement. Duration two to three weeks.

We also would like to note that our winter is not that cold. Instead you will find the weather rather sunny and the climate warm. Many of us do swim in the sea during this time.

Our country house is ideally located for visiting the best places in Peloponesse. Kalamata, the capital of Messinia, is 1 hour away, in car or bus and it has a lovely beach, beach side restaurants and cafes, shopping and it is perfect for daily trips.

The castles of Methoni and Koroni are located an hour away on car and Costa Navarino, one of the most beautiful resorts in the world is 40 minutes away from Spilia. With its beautiful golf courses in a breathe-taking scenery, it is ideal for golf lovers.Ancient Olympia is also a 1h 30min drive from Spilia for the ones who enjoy history and sight seeing.

It is the right place for people who enjoy history, sight-seeing, beaches and breathe-taking natural beauty!

A very cosy place amoung the authentic Greeks with no tourists around. Many nice places in the environment to visit. You need a car. Cosy and cheap restaurants nearby. Excellent family to change with. Open and honest. Very hospitable as we are used to from greeks.

Sotiria and Tasia are kind, friendly and nice. We felt immediately at ease with them. We had no problems communicating, despite their poor knowledge of English. We communicated with the translator from Italian to Greek and there were no problems. The house we exchanged with is a flat on the first floor of the building in which the family lives. It is quite spacious and comfortable. The listing is correctly represented on intervac, however it is difficult to use the navigator because of the addresses written in Greek.
