We are experienced home-exchangers, living on the stunning island of Texel. The island offers unique nature, plenty of attractions for all ages, rich history, and charming local culture. Texel truly has everything for a wonderful holiday. Plus, it’s only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Amsterdam by car or train. The ferry is always a fun experience and takes just 20 minutes: www.teso.nl
Our home is a bright and comfortable family house with a large garden, located in a quiet, child-friendly neighborhood in Den Burg. The beach is just 5 minutes away by car or 15 minutes by bike. Supermarkets and other amenities are within walking distance, and shopping in Den Burg is always a pleasure.
The house is fully equipped with a kitchen featuring a dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee/cappuccino machine, and a large utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There are five bedrooms, a bathroom with a bathtub and rain shower, and a sunny living room with piano, TV, game console, and a fireplace for cooler days. The terrace is very sunny, perfect for relaxing outdoors, and the garden is ideal for children. We also have plenty of toys, and there are several playgrounds nearby.
Texel is a biker’s paradise—you are welcome to use our bikes to explore the island. We can also discuss exchanging cars.

Very cosy house and really nice family. Easy to communicate with and very helpful with questions :) The Island is a perfect place to regenerate and relaxe.

Nice family , living in the middle of the Island in a lovely village with lot of activities and things to do ! Very nice biking area and many activities in the small villages and superb beaches ! Had a very good time thanks to a good whatsapp Communication with the family ! Nice neighbours ready to help or inform you ! Well done !

We are a active family of five, but all our three adult children study (history-politics, Informatica and musicology) at the University of Utrecht and Nijmegen. The children live in Utrecht in our appartment. We love to do outdoor activities, sports and make music. Our house has a piano, small harmonium, guitar.
Janneke works as a teacher in primary school, and Udo works as an official in a sheltered workplace. On our holidays we'd like to spend a lot of time in the mountains and nature, but we also love to visit cities, museums and culture.
Now, we will travel without children most of the time.
