AIX EN PROVENCE, Frankrike

Aix en Provence is an important cultural, touristic and university center. Our apartment is situated at the east side of the city center of Aix en Provence just beside a very nice public park. It's a very quiet résidence with nice neighbours. There are convenient bus stops at 50 m by feet otherwise it is pleasant to walk 15 min to go downtown. The tourism information center offer a large array of guided tours (fountains, 18 th century houses...)
The international Marseille Provence airport is 30 min far. There are regular connections from airport to the city center. The TGV (train) station is 15min far and allows to reach Paris in 3 hours. You can also drive our own car to explore the region, it is a recent car "Citroen C3 Picasso". To go to Marseille we'll recommend you the regular buses with departures every 5min during rush hours/ every 5 to 20 min from the Aix bus station.
In the country side there are many pleasant typical Provencal villages all around "le Luberon" and "les Alpilles". The national natural park of Camargue is one hour far and is available to go for a nice day trip. That will offer you a wonderful souvenir.
If you come back home before 9pm in summer do not hesitate to have a bath in the quiet swimming pool of the residence!
Members of our family: Philippe is just retired and was an air trafic controller, Annick also just retired was a primary school teacher. Our two children live on their own. Julie works in Marseille and Thomas has been working since 6 years in Hong Kong and married last year over there.
