Holiday home in La Coruña, Spain
We are interested in a house exchange for two weeks , on Juli 2025, simultaneous or non-simultaneous. Our House is located on the West coast of Galicia- Spain, in a fisherman and touristic village called Sada and located near A Coruña(17 km) and Santiago de Compostela (55 km), both cities with an airport.
Our house is building in 3 levels. We have two bedrooms, 1 dressing room which can be use as a bedroom, a bathroom, a large kitchen and a livingroom. On the top there is a terrace with views of the nerby sea and "Ría de Sada-Betanzos".
Near the house, there is a Little beach known as "Morazón" and you can find a lot of beaches in the surroundings. Also, next to the house you find the fishing and leisure sailing port.
We work as a physician and lawyer. We have 3 children, but usually we travel only with our youngest daughter and occasionally with one of our older children.
GALICIA is a Spanish region located in the north-western corner of Spain. It is a region of vast green landscapes with a rich Celtic and Roman heritage which keeps, still today, a mystic and magic allure.
The province of Corunna borders with the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay of Biscay from the west and north. The Region also includes the islands of the Nature Park of the Atlantic Islands. Temperatures here are moderate.
This region is also a perfect destination to enjoy sun and beaches. You can practice here water sports such as surfing, sailing, diving, fishing, etc.… There´re lots of entertainments, especially in summer every village have their traditional festivities and our delicious gastronomy, popular all around the world, with the famous octopus and all kind of seafood, and our regional wines too.
From La Coruña and Sada you must visit Santiago de Compostela, where pilgrims finish the way of Saint James, and a lots of fishing villages, where food, beaches and fiesta completes a perfect summer day. We suggest you several travels and visits, as restaurants, beaches and fiestas in our personal home guide.
Santiago de Compostela it's worth visiting. It is interesting to watch the curious rites and traditions which are performed inside the Cathedral, the old town witch is declared Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO.A good time to visit Santiago de Compostela can be during the Festival of the Apostle St. James, on July 25th.
After Santiago, you may continue your tour in the province of La Coruña travelling to the region of the Costa da Morte (coast of death), a zone of cliffs over the Atlantic where you will find lighthouses like the one at Finisterre, which was believed in past times to be 'the end of the known world'.
Further south are the Rías Baixas where you can also visit charming fishing villages of mediaeval origin like Noia, Porto do Son and Muros, which are now popular tourism destinations.
