Centrally located modern apartment with lots of green
We live in a modern 2 bedroom apartment close to the city center. Although the location is very central, the apartment is quiet and there is lots of green: the Danube canal and a big park are just around the corner. In warmer seasons, we enjoy our balcony. Public transport is very good (metro 5mins walk) and also for cycling it's ideal.
We have one bedroom with a double bed and one smaller bedroom with a single bed that can be extended to a double bed (my daughter's bed). The main room with kitchen and living room is very bright. As we live with a toddler, there are lots of toys, a changing table and everything you need with a small child.
The building is new and has a spacious elevator. Parks, supermarkets, restaurants and much more is in 10-15mins walking distance.
I can offer a parking spot in the garage under the building - but no car to exchange because this parking is used by my mother when she comes for babysitting.
If we agree on a non simultaneous exchange I can offer another apartment two metro stops away, in the historic city center. It has one bedroom, a living room and a separate kitchen. It is fully equipped but without personal belongings. I can send pictures if this option is of interest for us.

Über die Umgebung
My neighbourhood is very close to the city centre, you can walk there in 25mins or take the metro in front of the house (2 stops). There is lots of green around (Augarten - the second largest park in Vienna) and the river in front of the house is very lively in summer: bars, music, restaurants. Infrastructure is really good: metro, busses, tram are all within 5mins of walking.
By bike, you can get to the Danube river within 30mins or get out of the city to Klosterneuburg (famous for its baroque monastery) in 40mins. There are bike lanes starting right in front of the house, leading through the entire city.

Everything was perfect! The apartment was clean, comfortable and well situated. The explanation or the flat and reception were clear and easy to understand. We loved the area where the apartment was and the walk to the centre from her apartment was not far and enjoyable. When we arrived home Angelika had looked after our flat and left it clean and tidy. Angelika was very amenable and helpful in all moments. She gave us useful information on places to visit and services in her area, as well leaving us food as the first day was a public holiday. In general we had a great experience. Thank you Angelika!

We are experienced travelers and are thoughtful and caring about our hosts/guests.
I am a 39 year old teacher, living with my 3 year old daughter in my hometown Vienna. When I travel, I either travel alone with her or with a friend to make my travels easier. We enjoy exploring a new place and rediscover places we or I have visited before.
Although I am a pretty new member here, I am not new to this idea. I started my intervac experience as a child with my mother and now being a mother myself I want to introduce my daughter to this brilliant community. In the last 9 years, I travelled a lot using couchsurfing and also hosted a lot of people from all over the world at my home. So both - me and my daughter - are used to the idea of welcoming guests in our home and are very open to exchanges.
