Neighborhood

About the neighborhood

Our house has recently been renovated internally. It is close to the dunes of Druridge Bay which is a 4 mile stretch of beach . The property is in a rural location on the outskirts of the village & close to a farm which currently does not have a tenant. We have a couple of neighbours who are very friendly & helpful & one of them has chickens which roam freely. Adjacent to the property is the Northumberland wildlife reserve & a variety of birdlife is regularly spotted including Barn Owls, Herons. Lapwings, Avocets. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the village & to the very popular Drift café which is open 7 days a week. The National Cycle Route 1 goes past the end of the drive.
Places you can visit:-.

A lovely house in the Scottish Borders with great places to visit and good transport links. We have in the past exchanged cars but we are now finding it very difficult to arrange Insurance so we now think it best not to exchange vehicles.

We are a family of 4 who are returning to Intervac after a few years break. During this time we have been renovating our second home. Previously with Intervac we had a number of great home exchanges to Spain, Sweden, Ireland, within the UK and cat sitting in France.
We have a small well trained dog called Ruby who is a cockerpoo. She does not shed her fur & when not able to travel with us she stays with family & friends.
