Modern apartment, one double-bed, close to city centre
We live in a modern, recently built flat in the attic of an improved old building. The flat has one open kitchen, a living area (without a television), a working area, a small dining room, and a bedroom with a double bed. There’s also a bathroom, a toilet, a cabinet, and storage (which includes a washing machine and tumble dryer). We have a small balcony, technically a terrace, where you can have a drink or a small meal outdoors.
Since we do not have children or pets, the flat and its furnishings are not tailored for either.
We’re very particular about a sophisticated style of living, so our flat’s furnishings are considerably above average. Here are some details worth mentioning:
- The bed is a Vi-spring boxspring bed. one of the two mattresses is a Superb soft-spring-mattress, designed for someone under 70kg. While the other mattress is designed for larger people aswell.
- The wooden floor is rather delicate, therefor we have a no-outdoor-shoes policy.
- The kitchen, its appliances, and most tools are of premium quality and require careful handling.

Neighborhood
About the neighborhood
Our apartment is located in the 20th district and is very well connected to the center of Vienna by nearby public transport (3 minutes). There are excellent grocery stores and restaurants in that area. Directly across from the building, there is a medium-sized supermarket, and right opposite, there is an accident hospital. Additionally, the Danube and Danube Island (an approximately 20-kilometer-long artificial island, a natural area with swimming opportunities within the city) are within walking distance.
The nearby public transport connects the apartment directly to regional transport, leading directly to Vienna's main train station and Vienna Airport.
Long-term parking (more than 2 hours) for private cars is only possible in a car-park in Vienna; there are some around you should to check prior to arriving. Therefore, comming here by public transportation is recommended.
Nearest Airport: Vienna Schwechat

We are a cheerful couple and, after several years, have decided to engage in a home exchange for multiple reasons:
We highly value quality living even during holidays and have repeatedly been dissatisfied with Airbnb apartments (impersonal, meaningless furnishings) or hotel rooms (cramped spaces) - usually situated in touristic sites.
Although this is our first home exchange together, Armin has been exchanging homes with his family through Intervac for about 40 years. Sladjana has never exchanged her home before but grew curious: she convinced Armin to revive his family's past tradition.
