House in Aberdeen, Scotland, Great Britain

Ours is a comfortable, clean and spacious family home in the most desirable area in the city. It is a victorian granite house built around 1880 and we have preserved the original features of the era while equipping it for our own needs. We have 3 bedrooms,2 with kingsize beds and 1 with a double bed. The fully equipped kitchen is where we eat and socialise mostly but we like to gather in the dining room for special occasions. These rooms look out over the mature and private back garden which is a haven for wildlife with a frog pond, trees, shrubs and flowerbeds to attract the butterflies and bumblebees. At the other end of the garden the kids enjoy the large trampoline and a safe back lane to play ball. We enjoy  trailbiking so keep an array of bike gear for your enjoyment.

We live in the leafy West End of Aberdeen City and enjoy the café lifestyle of the neighbourhood. On our doorstep we can find award winning food shops and delightful locally owned businesses selling a variety of goods, from tartan ballgowns punk style, to an authentic French patisserie and a very stinky cheese shop!
We have immediate access to 2 local parks and the beach is only 20 minutes away. Our favourite pastime is hillwalking and trail cycling so we have all the bikes you will need. We like to cycle along the Deeside Way, a disused railway, and this can take us out into the country and farm fields very quickly.
Outlander country, Inverness, is 2.5 hours in the car. We recommend a visit to Culloden Battlefield National Trust Centre. Go on an Outlander tour of the Highlands! Drive to Loch Ness to spot the Loch Ness Monster and have some lunch at the Dores Inn, a very highly recommended restaurant which rests on the shore of the Loch.
Aberdeen has a lively festival scene and the International Youth Festival, which appears in July and August, is always worthwhile as are the many Highland Games which are an interesting day out.
We enjoy visiting the many castles in the Shire and always have a coffee and cake in the castle kitchen after a walk around the grounds.
We love going off to the Cairngorm Mountain Range (3 hours) where we can cycle, hill walk, swim and sail and then enjoy local cuisine in Aviemore.
